Four patrol boats deployed in Sarangani


KIAMBA, Sarangani (February 25, 2012) - After a three-day seminar on familiarization and maintenance of patrol boat, municipal employees from Maasim board their new P1.9-million, 135-HP speed boat for a demonstration Friday, February 24. It was one of the four patrol boats given by the Bureau of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources to the coastal municipalities of Maitum, Kiamba, Maasim and Glan aiming to enforce fishery laws and to protect the biodiversity of Sarangani waters. Four Sarangani towns get high-speed patrol boats from BFAR

Former Board Member Lawa visits Acting Mayor Cutan


MAASIM, Sarangani (March 20, 2012) - Former Board Member Art Lawa visits Acting Mayor Uttoh Salem Cutan at his office Tuesday, March 20. Vice Mayor Cutan replaced former Mayor Jose Zamorro who was ordered by the Department of Interior and Local Government to vacate the position as his proclamation as mayor had been nullified due to acknowledged errors over Lawa in the results of the May 10, 2010 elections.
