KIAMBA, Sarangani (July 23, 2015) - The Department of Trade and Industry-Sarangani Provincial Office releases Monday, July 20, P1,383,500 to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Kiamba to finance the implementation of projects under the Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB). DTI Sarangani provincial director Engr. Nenita Barroso said “these funds will finance locally-identified projects by the LGU and will focus on supporting local industries and will help support small entrepreneurs become competitive.” Municipal Administrator Rose Katimbang, who received the check in behalf of Mayor Raul Martinez, expressed her gratitude to DTI. She said this fund will be used in the establishment of coconut water processing project to serve as an alternative livelihood program for women of Barangay Lomuyon which is aimed at reducing poverty in the area.
