True Love Waits


MALAPATAN, Sarangani (January 17,2014) – During the True Love Waits Seminar at Daan Suyan Integrated School on January 13, one of the participants was asked to choose between a bubble gum that was already eaten compared to one that is newly opened and uneaten. The bubble gum represents two kinds of individual, where the uneaten gum refers to the one who is sexually pure until marriage and the other as someone who already lost his/her virginity before getting married. This activity intends to show to the students the advantages of staying pure and keeping one’s virginity until marriage. The True Love Waits Seminar is part of the early pregnancy prevention program of the Office of Vice Governor Jinkee Pacquiao under its Gal E’ Libun Project (Strength of Women). (Marvin N. Word of God shared in school


GLAN, Sarangani (January 17, 2015) – The team from the Merry Heart Ministries of North Carolina, U.S.A gladly share the Word of God by telling stories, presenting puppet shows, feeding hot meals, and distributing flip flops, clothes, hygiene kits, eyeglasses, personally-made bracelets, and other gifts to hundreds of adults and children on January 8 in Big Margus Elementary School, one of their beneficiary-public schools in Sarangani Province. They consider themselves neither as pastors nor evangelists but as persons who are intimately in love with the Lord, causing them to share God’s love and blessings to other people. SP approves watershed conservation project


ALABEL, Sarangani (January 17, 2015) – Board Member Cesar Nallos Jr., environment committee chairman, leads the approval of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) with Vice Gov. Jinkee Pacquiao during its first regular session of the year on January 13 on the  authority of the governor to sign a contract with Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur Internationale Zusammernarbeit (GIZ)-GmbH-German Development Corporation as the primary funding agency for the project called Conservation of Mt. Latian Complex located in Barangay Datal Anggas, Alabel. The German government will download P1.2 million for the study to be conducted by the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center to conserve the ecosystem and biodiversity in Mt. Latian, viewed as vital for the protection of the watersheds of several major rivers of the province, such as Buayan-Maribulan, Big Glan, Big Lun Masla and Little Lun Masla rivers. EMB to install air quality monitoring system at Capitol


ALABEL, Sarangani (January 17, 2015) – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) unanimously approves the authority of the governor to sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of DENR XII during its first regular session of the year on January 13 for the installation of a P10 million-worth of Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System inside the Capitol to monitor the air quality of the whole province and recommend measures/policies if needed, in consonance with RA No. 8749 or the Philippine Clean Air Act. Maitum holds MPOC meeting

MAITUM, Sarangani (January 14, 2015) - Lieutenant Colonel Ronald Jess Alcudia of the 27th Infantry Battalion (IB)and Second Lt. Clayford Gabino of 27th IB listen as Mayor Pepito Catimbang discusses some matters related to the peace and order situation in the municipality during the first Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meeting on January 7. The MPOC tackled the status of the municipality based on reports from the previous year. The Maitum MPOC meeting was agreed to be scheduled every first Monday of the month.
