ALABEL, Sarangani (January 17, 2015) – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) unanimously approves the authority of the governor to sign the Memorandum of Agreement with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of DENR XII during its first regular session of the year on January 13 for the installation of a P10 million-worth of Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System inside the Capitol to monitor the air quality of the whole province and recommend measures/policies if needed, in consonance with RA No. 8749 or the Philippine Clean Air Act. Engr. Sophie Manuel, Pollution Control Division chief of EMB (at the rostrum) with Board Member Cesar Nallos Jr., environment committee head, briefed the SP members on the importance of the equipment.
