The event is part of the Sulong Kalusugan component of the Sulong Sarangani program where vaccines for Measles Rubella, Tetanus Diptheria and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) were given. The event was also graced by local officials, school teachers, parents and 780 pupils from Malandag Central Elementary School and Malandag National High School. VGO trains Kiblat Women’s Association
MALUNGON, Sarangani (May 6, 2015) – The staff of Vice Governor Jinkee Jamora-Pacquiao and Larry Que, speaker, conduct a two-day Gal E’ Libun Project: Financial Management and Document Training to 30 members of Kiblat Women’s Association at Barangay Kiblat on April 15-16. This is the last leg of the seven financial management trainings conducted all over the province. The women association produces herbal tea, ointments and woven bags. FR associations form alliance

FRs get livelihood funds

AlSci opens P2M science laboratory

ALABEL, Sarangani (December 12, 2014) – Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and principal Norma Rendon of Alabel National Science High School (ANSHS) have inaugurated the school’s laboratory room in a ceremony witnessed by teachers and students.
ANSHS’ Science Laboratory Turn-Over and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at the school gymnasium on December 9 was also attended by provincial engineer Jerry Belbider who supervised the construction of the 112-sq.m. Science Laboratory Room worth P2 million. It is a project under the 2014 Annual Investment Plan’s (AIP) Sulong Karunungan of the provincial government.
Laboratory equipment such as three sets of binocular microscope, one unit of rotary evaporator, and 42 units of laboratory stool powder-coated base and laminated top were included in the project.
In his speech, Gov. Solon said the provincial government is delighted and pleased to support the schools in the province which show excellent performance, specifically giving compliments to ANSHS for consistently increasing the standard of education.
“I consider you the spearhead school in Sarangani. In an arrow, a spearhead is the one that opens the opportunity for the rest of the arrows to pass through. That’s what you are,” Solon said.
He stated that Sulong Karunungan program aims to enable high school graduates to be admitted to college for a four-year course because it makes a world of difference if someone earns a college degree.
After Gov. Solon’s speech, the ANSHS students showed their gratitude by surprising him through singing “Thank You” songs, dancing, and awarding him gifts of appreciation in great gratitude toward Gov. Solon, Vice Gov. Jinkee Pacquiao, Cong. Manny Pacquiao, and the provincial board members for their remarkable efforts in putting their dream into reality.
For her part, Rendon thanked the provincial government particularly Gov. Solon for granting her earnest request of allocating a budget for the abovementioned state-of-the-art facilities which will allow them to perform better in regional and national science competitions.
In conclusion, Ariel Lalisan, ANSHS Physics Laboratory in-charge, affirmed that the Science Laboratory is indeed a blessing to the school, also known as AlSci, and the best response to a blessing is to share their acquired learning and knowledge with other schools in the province. Latter Day Saints Charity helps Serbisyong Sarangan beneficiaries
ALABEL, Sarangani (November 14, 2014) – Roland Cortez from Sitio Pulutana, Barangay Malandag, Malungon receives his wheelchair from the Latter Day Saints Charity thru the Serbisyong Sarangan Community Outreach Program of Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon with the support of Cong. Manny Pacquiao, Vice Gov. Jinkee Pacquiao and the board members on Wednesday, November 12, at the Sarangani Capitol Gym. Cortez was a victim of hit-and-run. He was grateful to be one of the beneficiaries. During the weekend, the Physicians for Peace and Eyecrafter Clinic distributed prostheses and reading eyeglasses to Sarangani beneficiaries. Artificial legs for Sarangans
ALABEL, Sarangani (November 13, 2014) – These artificial legs are God’s gift to some less fortunate Sarangans. Thirty-four prostheses were distributed for free during the Serbisyong Sarangan Outreach in Sarangani Capitol on November 8. The cost of each prosthetic leg ranges from P40,000 to P100,000.
