“Green Engineered School Building” breaks ground in Sarangani

MAITUM, Sarangani (August 31, 2012) - Governor Migs Dominguez, Mayor Elsie Perrett and Engr. Fernando Santander, DPWH Sarangani district engineer and current president of Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Sarangani province chapter, lay the capsule during the ground breaking ceremony of a “Green Engineered School Building”Friday, August 31, at Malalag Central Elementary School. “Green Engineered School Building” is a national contest by the PICE participated in by all PICE chapters all over the country. Sarangani chapter won 3rd Place in the Mindanao level with a prize of P300,000 worth of school building using indigenous materials available in the locality. The winning design of Malalag Central Elementary School was chosen as recipient of the project.
