MAITUM, Sarangani (February 12, 2013) - Mayor Elsie Perrett and Vice Mayor Tito Balazon pose with members of people’s organizations (POs) after the turnover Monday, February 11, of harvest facilities to Akmad Farmers Association of barangay Kalaong and Pinol Community Development Organization of barangay Pinol in front of the municipal hall. The facilities given to both POs were composed of 2 units of hand tractors with trailer haulers and 2 units corn shredder. These are part of the P2.5M livelihood assistance given to the people's organizations of Maitum from the Department of Agriculture regional office thru the Mindanao Rural Development Program–Community Fund for Agricultural Development (MRDP-CFAD). The MRDP-CFAD project aims to improve the living conditions of the marginalized sectors especially the farmers, women, and fisherfolk.
