Governor Solon gives radio repeaters to police

Governor Solon initiates Cacao farming


MALUNGON, Sarangani (August 27, 2015) - In line with the vision of the provincial government to alleviate poverty through promoting economic stability and sustainability, Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon initiates Cacao planting on August 17 at Figueroa Farm in Barangay Malandag where more than 50 farmers participated. Malapatan fishermen repatriated from Indonesia


MALAPATAN, Sarangani (August 27, 2015) - After three months of detention in Tahuna, Indonesia, 20 fishermen from Malapatan finally found comfort as they were successfully brought back to their town through the efforts of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Bureau of Immigration, Philippine Navy, Coast Guard and the provincial government of Sarangani. Sarangani officials join folklore festival

Training on Organic Agriculture Production done

Governor, vice governor dance with Blaan kids

Organic agriculture training for teachers


SURALLAH, South Cotabato (August 23, 2015) – They are part of the 30 teacher-scholars of integrated schools from the Department of Education-Sarangani taking the organic agriculture competency training at Surallah National Agriculture School on August 15. The teachers were trained for one month so that they could teach senior high school students under the subject Technology and Livelihood Education. The training was funded by Villar Foundation and the provincial government of Sarangani under Sulong Karunungan program of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority. Students attend Project 888 launch

Governor Solon inducts officers

Bikes for Blaan village


MALUNGON, Sarangani (August 5, 2015) – The Lamlifew Tribal Women's Association receives 10 mountain bikes from ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc. (ALKFI) through Bantay Kalikasan-Green Initiative Project. Green Initiative is a joint project of ALKFI and the provincial government in developing community-based sustainable tourism, community-based enterprise, environmental conservation and people's participation. Cultural cooks learn food handling


MALUNGON, Sarangani (August 5, 2014) – School of Living Tradition museum cooks learn the basics during a demo food cliniquing such as food presentation, table setup and food handling in Sitio Lamlifew, Datal Tampal. Other topics are good manufacturing practices for traditional food delicacies and cuisine. August is Bakuna Month


MALUNGON, Sarangani (August 4, 2015) - Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon comforts Justine dela Cruz, a Grade 1 pupil of Malandag Central Elementary School, after receiving his immunization on Measles Rubella and Tetanus Diptheria Monday, August 3. Sulong Kalusugan component of the Sulong Sarangani program gave vaccines for Measles Rubella, Tetanus Diptheria and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) during the province-wide launching of School-Based Immunization Program held in Malandag Gymnasium. The event was also attended by Schools Division Superintendent Isagani dela Cruz, local officials, school teachers, parents and 780 pupils from Malandag Central Elementary School and Malandag National High School.
