Glan inaugurates RORO port

GLAN, Sarangani (March 15, 2013) - Vice President Jejomar Binay (extreme left) and Mayor Victor James Yap Sr. (3rd from left) unveil the marker of Roll on-Roll off (RORO) International Port of Glan at its inauguration ceremony Friday, March 15. The construction of RORO ramp at the port had been proposed and implemented due to the presence of RORO ramp at the port of Mabila, Sarangani, Davao del Sur. Vice Governor Solon at IPs thanksgiving ceremony

MALAPATAN, Sarangani (March 1, 2013) – Vice Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon declares that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) is in full support to Indigenous People’s (IP) development in the province during the luncheon and ritual thanksgiving ceremony of the municipal and barangay tribal councils in Malapatan at the municipal gymnasium Thursday, February 28. The vice governor stressed the need to help the IPs as his grandparents James and Priscilla Chiongbian had made a
blood compact (”dyandi”) for the good interest of the sector. The SP, in aid of legislation, is in the process of ironing out the IP mandatory representation (IPMR) in the provincial board to arrive with a thorough and well-consulted procedure as the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office XII has opined that an ordinance shall first be passed creating and funding the IPMR position following the correct budgeting policy. Family of slain transport member gets aid

The program Thursday, February 28, at the Capitol gym during the regular transport federation monthly meeting was facilitated by the Strengthening Technological Advancement for Reforms (STAR) project under the office of Vice Governor Solon. The assistance was part of the death insurance benefit given by 1-UTAK to its members in the whole country.
