K to 12 forum held


ALABEL, Sarangani (September 8, 2015) – Board Member Elmer de Peralta commits to support the K to 12 program of the Department of Education during the caravan cum forum Monday, September 7, at the Capitol gym. The theme was “Sa K to 12 Basta Sama-sama, Kayang-kaya; Tayo na! Karunungan Isulong na!” The caravan was joined by DepEd officials, school principals, public school teachers, PTAs (Parents, Teachers Associations) and local officials. (Jake T. Students attend Project 888 launch

Sarangani was the second province visited by the YesPinoy Foundation headed by Dantes to launch Project 888 which seeks to find eight deserving young people within eight months in eight provinces. Sarangani Best LGU partner for CSF


ALABEL, Sarangani (July 23, 2015) - Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon and Vice Governor Jinkee J. Pacquiao present during the flag raising ceremony on July 20 Sarangani’s latest award that demonstrates another testimony of God-centered prosperity and governance. Sarangani reaped the Best LGU practice for Credit Surety Fund by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas during its 22nd anniversary celebration July 14 at the BSP Complex, Manila. The award was conferred in recognition of the institutions that have extended exemplary support to the BSP’s statistical undertakings, information needs and advocacy programs. Governor Solon, officials open new concrete road


MAITUM, Sarangani (July 9, 2015) - Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon (5th from right) and Mayor Pepito Catimbang (5th from left) lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony for 1,334 meters of concrete road in Barangay Sison. The Kabisig farm-to-market road amounting to P11,012,350 was inaugurated Wednesday, July 8. The road concreting funded by Department of Agriculture-Food Security Projects (DA-FSP) was counter parted by Sarangani provincial government with P2 million. Sarangani grants incentives to provincial employees


ALABEL, Sarangani (June 6, 2015) – Members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan approve Friday, June 5, “Special Ordinance Authorizing the Grant of the FY 2015 Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) Equivalent to One Month Basic Salary to Each Qualified Government Employee of the Provincial Government of Sarangani, Subject to the Provisions of Executive Order No. 181 Issued by the President of the Philippines to Other Applicable Laws, Rules and Regulations”. A total amount of P13,812,931 from the Personal Services (PS) lapses fund from months of January to May 2015 will be granted to 675 provincial employees. The provincial government of Sarangani has been certified by the Department of Interior and Local Government as passer of Good Financial Housekeeping (formerly the Seal of Good Housekeeping) and a full compliant with the full disclosure policy. Operation Tuli

Certified open defecation-free, 1st in Sarangani


GENERAL SANTOS CITY (March 27, 2015) – The municipal government of Malungon, Sarangani receives Resolution No. 2015-08-035, a “Resolution Declaring the Municipality of Malungon as the 1st Zero Open Defecation (100% Access to Sanitary Toilet) Practicing Municipality in the Province of Sarangani” during the conduct of Municipal Health and Sanitation Summit Year 2 (March 26-27) at Greenleaf Hotel. Sports advocate gives pep talk to Palaro athletes

Sarangani athletes gear up for Palaro

FRs get livelihood funds
