GLAN, Sarangani (October 12, 2014) - The Alfafara Family, Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon and Glan officials led by Mayor Tata Yap (7th from right) pose after unveiling the bust representing the late Dr. Jesus Poncardas Alfafara on October 7 within the compound of Glan Medicare Community Hospital (GMCH) in recognition of his honest effort and sincere dedication to public health service. Dr. Alfafara, a native of Carcar, Cebu who came to Glan after the war of liberation was the first head of GMCH previously called Community Hospital and Health Center, hence the hospital building was named after him by virtue of a provincial special ordinance.
