DAVAO CITY (October 1, 2014) - Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon reads the materials before the start of the Review of the 1991 Local Government Code, Mindanao-Wide Consultation at Waterfront Hotel Davao on Tuesday, September 30. Top local officials in Mindanao were gathered to discuss and respond to the issues of the local code that govern LGU operations and the possible amendments of its provisions for operation efficiency in the areas of expenditure and revenue assignment, inter-governmental transfer, credit financing, inter-LGU alliances, creation of LGUs, and fiscal administration. Relevant Supreme Court decisions and Congress laws and bills were also presented.
