MAITUM, Sarangani (July 3, 2014) – Health officers and municipal officials do a ceremonial drug taking to highlight the Filaria Kick-off Activity at Malalag Central Elementary School Tuesday, July 1, with the Theme: "Filariasis Sugpuin, Gamot ay Inumin". Sarangani Province targets to achieve the goal of Filariasis-free by 2018. Filariasis is a parasitic disease transmitted by blood-feeding arthropods, mainly black flies and mosquitoes.
