Philippine Coast Guard watching

KIAMBA, Sarangani (June 5, 2011) – At 10:00am Friday, June 3, the three tugboats (starboard side of the ship) have already stopped pulling the 39,000GT-MV Double Prosperity after the ship showed no reaction of the re-grounding process that started from 3:00am up to 6:30am when the tide was recorded highest. Queuing with the tugboats is the Philippine Coast Guard’s BRP Romblon 3503 (extreme starboard side) that keeps an eye on the ship for possible oil spillage or security threat. The Panamanian-flagged vessel was stuck at the marine protected area’s Bacud Reef since May 8. (Russell Delvo/SARANGANI INFORMATION OFFICE)
