Free school supplies make kids happy

MAITUM, Sarangani (August 30, 2012) - Grade 2 pupils of Victoria Tañedo Garcia (VTG) Elementary School headed by their adviser Maureen Basuel, raise their new bags with big smiles on their faces at barangay Zion Wednesday, August 29. The bags which were packed with 5 notebooks, paper pad, pencil, and a box of crayons were given by Mayor Elsie Perrett as her annual project in line with the "Angat Batang Maitum" program. This year's target aims to distribute a total of 1,525 sets of school supplies to 1,417 Grade 1 pupils and 108 Grade 2 pupils around Maitum.
