Sarangani Big Brother volunteers trained

KIAMBA, Sarangani (April 14, 2012) - Volunteers of “Sarangani Big Brother: Reading is Fun! Season 5” undergo endurance training program Friday, April 13, conducted by Quality Education for Sarangani Today (QUEST) and 73rd Infantry Battalion during the simultaneous SBB volunteers training for MAKIMA (Maasim-Kiamba- Maitum) area at the municipal gymnasium. “Sarangani Big Brother: Reading is Fun!” is a 15-day, whole-day, remedial reading program that will be implemented next week in partnership with the Alcantara Foundation, the Department of Education (DedpEd), QUEST and Sangguniang Kabataan. This is a reading program designed to assist the DepEd in improving reading skills among incoming Grade 2 and 3 learners identified as “frustration readers” in identified elementary schools in Sarangani.
