GENERAL SANTOS CITY (July 14, 2013)- Thousands of indigent patients from General Santos City and nearby towns of South Cotabato and Sarangani trooped to Notre Dame of Dadiangas University campus Sunday (July 14) to avail of free medical and dental services organized by Bombo Radyo Gensan.
The event, “Bombo Medico 2013”, is an annual medical outreach of Bombo Radyo Philippines held simultaneously in 24 key cities nationwide in celebration of the corporation’s foundation anniversary.
“Today, we conduct another Bombo Medico, in line with the 47th anniversary celebration of Bombo Radyo,” said Janjan Macailing, Bombo Radyo Gensan station manager.
“Compared to previous medical outreach, this year is the most attended one,” Macailing noted.
The station manager said at least 3,000 patients availed of the free dental and medical services today.
This one-day medical outreach is in partnership with UNILAB and is supported by Gensan Medical Society, Sarangani Provincial Health Office, Sarangani Provincial Government and Congressional Office, former Sarangani Governor Migs Dominguez, Gensan Mayor Ronnel Rivera, Gensan City Health Office, Gensan Maharlika Eagles, APO Fraternity, Golden State College, Gensan Doctors Hospital Nurses, Gensan Dental Association, and dental teams of Joint Task Force Gensan and Bureau of Fire Protection.
