MAASIM, Sarangani (June 25, 2012) - World Vision and Alcantara Foundation provided mangrove seedlings during the mangrove planting activity participated in by members of Tinoto Fishermen Association Monday, June 25, in celebration of National Arbor Day at the mangrove forest near the barangay proper. The fisherfolk will be paid P3 each mangrove they planted. According to the organizer, it is better to get the locals involved and give them incentives for planting and protecting the mangroves.
