World Bank-funded school breaks ground
MAITUM, Sarangani (June 23, 2012) – Pangi Barangay Captain Jacinto Galang Jr. (extreme right), barangay officials and Pangi Elementary School teachers hold the blueprint of the three-classroom elementary school building during its groundbreaking ceremony at Pangi Elementary School Thursday, June 21. The project which costs P1,820,000 is funded by KALAHI-CIDDS:KKB with a counterpart fund of P355,021.36 from the provincial and municipal government units. Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan - Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services - Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay widely known as KALAHI-CIDSS: KKB is the Philippine government's flagship poverty-alleviation project implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development through the financial support of the World Bank.
