MAITUM, Sarangani (July 5, 2012) - Barangay Wali resident Noemi Boone wins the race as she heads towards the finish line during the Buntis Walkathon in celebration of Nutrition Month Wednesday, July 4. The activity was attended by 92 pregnant women coming from the different barangays of Maitum. This year's theme is "Pagkain ng Gulay Ugaliin, Araw-araw Itong Ihain" which focuses on encouraging Filipinos to increase consumption of vegetables to address micronutrient deficiencies and prevent non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.
