GENERAL SANTOS CITY (July 1, 2012) - Commanding Officer CDR Brandon Bryan followed by Commodore Dave Welch and other US Navy officers disembark from USS Vandegrift during their arrival at Makar wharf Sunday, July 1, to meet with their Philippine counterparts. The Philippines and United States will start on Monday a nine-day joint naval exercises in the Mindanao Sea, off the coasts of General Santos City and nearby Sarangani province.
