Out-of-school youth becomes electrician

 
MAASIM, Sarangani (November 9, 2012) - Ricky Collado, one of the 75 and 3rd batch graduates of Maasim Tech-Voc Competence Center, shows his certificate of completion for Electrical Installation and Maintenance during the graduation ceremony Friday, November 9, at Mangelen Integrated School campus. The graduates who are mostly the town's out-of school youth are now National Competence II holders after passing TESDA’s national competence assessment and examination and after completing the required hours of training. This technical-vocational center that offers courses in plumbing, electrical installation and maintenance and shielded metal arc welding is a joint project of Sarangani Energy Corporation, Alcantara Foundation, Department of Education, Provincial Government of Sarangani, Municipal Government of Maasim and TESDA Sarangani and General Santos City.
