MAITUM, Sarangani (October 9, 2012) - Mayor Elsie Perrett, Vice Mayor Tito Balazon and municipal agriculturist Renato Fantone turn over pre-post harvest facilities to Lanao-Tarucao Community Irrigators president Valentin Baguindoc Monday, October 8. The facilities composed of hand tractors, rice threshers, trailers, corn shredders, and rice mills were part of the P2.5M livelihood assistance given to the people's organizations of Maitum from the Department of Agriculture thru the Mindanao Rural Development Program–Community Fund for Agricultural Development (MRDP-CFAD). The MRDP-CFAD project aims to improve the living conditions of the marginalized sectors of the community especially the farmers, women, and fisher folk.
