MAITUM, Sarangani (October 16, 2012) - From 2nd from left, International Monitoring Team (IMT) head of mission Major General Dato Adul Rahim Bin Hadj Mohammad Yusuff, Mayor Lucille Perrett, Board Member Elmer de Peralta, Barangay Captain Fridemen Wanan and other representatives from IMT release seven white doves Tuesday, October 16, as sign of peace. The seven doves symbolize the 7th batch of Malaysian-led IMT peace monitors who have come to Mindanao since 2004. The peace event, held in the wake of the signing of the “fundamental agreement” for peace in Mindanao between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, was part of the Joint Community Outreach and Medical Mission held at barangay Ticulab by the IMT, municipal and provincial government, the Kalinaw Sarangani Unit of Gov.
