MAITUM, Sarangani (September 16, 2011) - Dr. Antonio Montalvan II, chairman of the National Committee on Museums of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, inspects a replica of a Maitum jar, copied from potsherds taken from Pinol Cave and Sangel Cave found in barangay Pinol. Dr. Montalvan visited the Maitum Diorama recently where replicas of the famous “Faces of Maitum” are on display. He emphasized the importance of these finds in the determination of Mindanao prehistory in particular and the Philippines as a whole. (Afren de Guzman/MAITUM INFORMATION OFFICE)
