GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 24, 2013) - Dr. Arvin Alejandro, OIC provincial health officer of Sarangani, explains the importance of leadership and governance to participants of “Bridging the Last Mile Leaders Workshop” held at Green Leaf Hotel on September 18-20. The activity was participated in by sanitation implementers composed of Association of Barangay Captains presidents, sanitary inspectors from the municipalities and representatives from Department of Health and Department of Interior and Local Government. The activity aims for Sarangani under Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon to be the first province to declare province-wide Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) status before 2016. (Jake T.
