ALABEL, Sarangani (September 29, 2014) – Arnel Corpuz, an awardee of Bagong Bayani, a national search for the Philippine Outstanding and Exemplary Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW), meets Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon with his family and friends on September 23. He recently received recognition for his great contribution in uplifting the lives of fellow Filipinos and Sarangans by helping and facilitating them find good jobs in Australia, particularly in the cattle industry as he is a manager. Corpuz is from Barangay Lebe, Kiamba. Earlier before he met Gov. Solon, he was given an ample time by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Sarangani during its regular session to present himself. SP members did not hesitate to pass a resolution commending his deeds for bringing honor to Sarangani Province, and he personally received the citation on September 26 with Vice Gov.
