GENERAL SANTOS CITY (September 22, 2014) - Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon supports the call to continuously protect the rights of children during the 2-day Children’s Consultation Workshop on the Child Welfare Code of Sarangani Province with the theme “Bata Kasali Ka, Ikaw ay Mahalaga” on September 18 at Tierra Montana Hotel. Children in the province from the different sectors of out-of-school youth, Indigenous People, in-school youth, persons with disabilities, Muslim youth, children survivor (abused children), and children in conflict with law attended the seminar. The event was organized by Save the Children and Sulong Sarangani program thru the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), in coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office in all towns of the province.
