ALABEL, Sarangani (September 25, 2014) - Board Member Elmer De Peralta, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) committees on Appropriations and Health, leads the approval of the realignment of P3 million to fund the training and office equipment and supplies of the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) under the Barangay Health Emergency and Resilience Team (BHERT) program during its regular session Tuesday, September 23. Earlier this year, the SP approved the P500 monthly allowance from the Provincial Government of Sarangani to each qualified BHW as their role in the community could never be neglected. It is the first time that the provincial government granted monthly incentives to BHWs in the whole province under Sulong Sarangani of Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon, in partnership with Cong.
