MALUNGON, Sarangani (September 9, 2014) – Leah Ildefonso of the Office of Governor Steve Chiongbian Solon presents to the participants of the 3-day Integrated Barangay Defense Development Force (IBDF) training in Barangay Kinabalan on September 6 the scholarship offered by the Philippine Nippon Technical College Scholarship Program, study-now-pay-later scheme, where graduates can surely earn bigger income as they will be sent to Japan for employment. This is offered to young Sarangans especially from the indigent families. The IBDF capacitates its disaster community volunteers thru the conduct of fire drill, internal territory defense system, and similar capability-building with training on livelihood and similar grants, like the scholarship grant to volunteers’ children, in partnership with the law enforcement agencies, Cong.
